Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has asked the health department to fill 400 vacant posts for doctors in the state.
While chairing a meeting on health infrastructure in the state, Fadnavis said vacant posts, particularly in the state's rural areas, should be filled. He also said local candidates should be given priority in the filling of these vacancies. This will help curb absenteeism, he said. Fadnavis also said services under the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayi Health Scheme needed improvement.
